"Unwanted Person" with Cocaine-like Powder Arrested in Belle Mead Home & a Car Crash in Skillman

Montgomery police responded to a Belle Mead home on April 14 to investigate the report of an "unwanted person" in the home. The person allegedly had cocaine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia, according to the police.


Police arrested Christopher Gardella, 41, of Somerville and transported him to Montgomery police headquarters, where he was charged with failure to forfeit narcotics to law enforcement, use and influence of narcotics without a prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gardella was released pending a court date in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.

Car Crash on Hollow Road

Montgomery police and EMS responded to Hollow Road, near Servis Road, for the report of an overturned motor vehicle on April 18 at 9:53 am.


An Initial police investigation revealed Namrata Pandey, 46, of Skillman was driving a 2020 Land Rover southbound on Hollow Road. Pandey drifted to the right, leaving the roadway, and her tires entering the ditch along the side of the roadway, where the vehicle rolled onto its side before coming to rest.

Pandey sustained cuts and scrapes when climbing out of the vehicle. EMS attended to Pandey, and she was transported to Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center for her injuries. A portion of Hollow Road was closed to traffic for approximately two hours for scene investigation and clean up.
