The Most Interesting Man in Montgomery

Posted February 15, 2024

Shout-out to Anthony “Tony” Parziale, the general manager of Princeton Fitness & Wellness Center, for being named The Most Interesting Man in Montgomery by Central New Jersey Network.

Watch a 4.49-minute video of Tony Parziale, the most interesting man in Montgomery.

Parziale was named the Guinness record holder (twice) for the most sit-ups done in one hour. He completed 4,181 nonstop sit-ups during a 60-minute stretch to break the world record of 3,388 on June 2, 2001 at Haldeman Ford in Hamilton.

His father, Anthony Sr., joked to a reporter for The Trentonian at the time, “I think it was that Superman costume his mother and I got for him when he was 5. Tony was always wearing it; you had to peel it off him. Whatever he sets his mind to do he accomplishes. He’s the most motivated person I’ve ever met.”

Through his world record success, he founded The National Ab Crunch Challenge to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Parziale raised more than $500,000. Parziale is a current member and past two-term president of the Rotary Club of Montgomery/ Rocky Hill. He also serves on the board of directors for the Montgomery Business Association and has played the drums professionally since he was 13.
