Township Administrator Lori Savron told The Montgomery News, "Whether you are an avid pickleball player or just curious, you can expect more opportunities to play in town. We worked with the board of education to create six pickleball courts at the Montgomery Lower Middle School tennis complex. We are also reviewing other locations for additional pickleball courts."

NEW COMMUNITY PICKLEBALL COURTS are located on the Montgomery Lower Middle School campus, off Burnt Hill Road, in the Skillman section of town. Parking is available next to the courts, as shown in the map above.

It was a cost-sharing cooperation between Montgomery Township Parks and Recreation and the Montgomery Township School District (which is funded by Montgomery and Rocky Hill taxpayers).

Officials cut a red ribbon on July 15 to officially open the new pickleball courts.

Other Community Pickleball Courts in Town

Woodsedge Park on Harvard Circle in the Woods Edge neighborhood off Cherry Valley Road also has a community pickleball court, in addition to a playground, swing set, picnic area, restroom, basketball courts (2), tennis courts (2), a sand area, and a shade structure.

For local folks who like to reserve a court, play in the evenings, or play indoors on a hot day, Nassau Tennis Club on Route 206 in Skillman also has pickleball. There are 13 clay courts — eight are indoors and five are outdoors. The lines are permanent, and portable nets are available. Amenities include lights. A membership is required to play. Reservations are available.
