Route 206 Biz Burglarized, Car Fire, Criminal Mischief on Route 518

Cash Register Stolen from Thomas Sweets

Montgomery Township police responded to Thomas Sweets on Route 206 in Skillman for a burglary on March 9 at 11:10 am. An employee reported that someone entered the business during the overnight hours, stole a cash register, and damaged items in the store. About $100 was in the register. The cost to replace the register is estimated to be about $1,000. The detective bureau is investigating.


Attempted Burglary at AJA Restaurant

On the same day, Montgomery police responded to another business on Route 206 for an attempted burglary at 12:51 am. An employee at AJA Asian Cuisine & Lounge reported a person trying to break into the business. The individual fled after realizing there was an employee on location. The detective bureau is investigating. 



Car Fire at Carrier Clinic

On March 5 at 6:34 am, Montgomery police along with Montgomery Fire Companies 1 and 2 responded to Carrier Clinic for a motor vehicle fire. The vehicle’s owner stated she was driving to work at Carrier Clinic and noticed the vehicle starting to smoke as she was pulling into the lot. After parking, she opened the hood and noticed a large amount of smoke. The engine became engulfed in flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire. Montgomery fire inspectors responded to conduct an investigation and found nothing suspicious.

Rock Thrown Through Back Porch Window

On March 6 at 8:13 pm, Montgomery police responded to a residence on Route 518 for a report of criminal mischief. The resident reported a rock was thrown through a back porch window. There were no signs of entry made into the residence.
