Montgomery COVID Testing Site Moved from High School to J & J Offices on Grandview Rd

As cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 continue to soar in Montgomery Township, the health department is continuing to offer free COVID-19 PCR-testing. Today, the department moved the test site from Montgomery High School to the Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products offices at 199 Grandview Road in Skillman.


The test site will be open from Monday through Friday from 8 am to 3 pm until further notice. All persons are welcome — no age or residency restrictions.


Montgomery Township had 287 new cases of COVID from Jan 6 through Dec 31, according to the Somerset County Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information Hub. Rocky Hill reported 8 cases in the same time frame.

The Montgomery Township Health Department is offering free PCR tests.

No appointment is needed. Simply drive to the J&J test site and walk in. Bring a valid form of identification and an insurance card if insured. Results of the PCR test should be available within 24 to 48 hours of testing. Pre-register online to save time at flowhealth.com/access/Carbon_NJ_Montgomery.

Listed above are the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases that have had a direct impact in Montgomery Township schools and District facilities since the start of the new school year, September 1, 2021.

Montgomery Township Health Officer Devangi Patel reminds people to get up-to-date with their vaccinations.


“It is incredibly important that we get our children vaccinated and our adults boosted,” she said . “This is how we avoid hospitalizations and deaths amid the surging Omicron variant.” Pre-registration through the COVID-19 NJ Vaccine Registration scheduling system is recommended but not required.


Test registration and lab processing are managed by Flow Health Labs. People who need help accessing their results may call 323.905.0125.

The Montgomery Health Department is offering free COVID tests at the Johnson & Johnson office complex at 199 Grandview Road in Skillman.

If someone tests positive for COVID-19, they must stay home and self-isolate for five days after test collection or from first day they had symptoms. If they do not have symptoms after the five-day isolation period, or if symptoms are resolving, they can leave isolation but they must continue to wear a mask around other people for five more days.

The testing site is provided in coordination with Central Jersey Urgent Care Center, Carbon Health, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products, the Montgomery Twp. Office of Emergency Management, and Montgomery Twp. Dept. of Public Works.
