Michelle Lynn Zimmerman of Milford Connecticut, formerly of Rocky Hill, died on Tuesday, October 19, at home. She was 34 years old.
Born in Princeton, and raised in Rocky Hill, she lived in Milford Connecticut since 2014. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 2005 then attended Syracuse University, Whitman School of Business, where she earned a degree in Business Management, with a minor in Psychology in 2009.
Michelle worked for Healthy Directions, based in Bethesda Maryland, as a product manager for health supplements. She was previously employed as director of marketing for The Edge Fitness Clubs and Planet Fitness.
From an early age Michelle was interested in fitness and competition, having been a member of the Montgomery High School gymnastics and swim teams. She was a Tae Kwon Do enthusiast having reached the level of 4th degree Black Belt and having won multiple state championships and a world ranking in weapons competitions. She was a very active member of Cross Fit Milford proclaiming herself “the worst of the best." Michelle was known for her boundless energy, quick wit, and intelligent sense of humor.
Michelle is the daughter of Edward and Randie Zimmerman of Rocky Hill. In addition to her parents, Michelle is survived by her brother Robert and his wife Rachel of Venice Beach, California; sister Jodi of New York City; and her grandmothers Rose Zimmerman of Port Richey, Florida and Judith Lyons Schneider of Bradenton, Florida. Additionally Michelle will be missed by her aunts, uncles, and cousins around the country.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 25 at the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 US Highway 206, Hillsborough, NJ 08844. Visitation starts at 4 pm. Service at 5 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Christine’s Hope for Kids (christineshope.org) or Montgomery SAVE (savehomelessanimals.org).
