Marian Raymond Snedeker, 92

March 30, 1930 – November 23, 2022

Born on the Family Farm in Belle Mead

Marian Raymond Snedeker of Skillman died peacefully on November 23.

Marian was born March 30, 1930, on the family farm in Belle Mead. She lived her entire life in Montgomery Township, graduated from Princeton High School in 1948, and married Stewart Snedeker in September of 1950. She was a lifelong member of Harlingen Reformed Church, where she was an active member of the church community.

Marian spent her life raising her own children and babysitting countless others. She was “grandma” to many. Marian also spent her time sewing, making wedding dresses and quilts for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Other activities she enjoyed throughout her life included working with the local 4H club and running their local sewing club, “The Harlingen Thimbleers.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth Raymond of Belle Mead, and by her husband of 64 years, Stewart Snedeker, and her brothers: Walter (Margaret) Raymond of Skillman, Henry Raymond of Belle Mead, and her sister Blanche “Peggy” (John) Tarr of Skillman, and brother-in-law Clifford Taft of Skillman.

She is survived by her three children: Sally Niece, Judith Jaquith, and Donald (Johanna) Snedeker; six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Taft, her sister-in-law Joan Raymond, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family would welcome memorial donations to the Harlingen Church Reformed Church.
