Police Reveal Identity of Local Montgomery Man Killed in a Car Accident on Route 206

Montgomery Police responded to a fatal accident on State Route 206 in front of the Nassau Tennis Club by Wood Thrush Lane on Feb. 19 at 10 am. Police identified the deceased as Charles G. Horn, 64, a well-known local real estate agent who lives in the Skillman section of the township.


Horn was on his way to a meeting at his Keller Williams Cornerstone Reality office in Belle Mead at the time of the accident.

Based on a preliminary scene investigation, a 2017 Subaru operated by Horn struck the rear of a 2019 International delivery truck that was operated by a 44-year-old man from Burlington, NJ. Both vehicles were traveling northbound on Route 206 at the time of the collision.


Horn had to be extricated from his vehicle and was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was later pronounced deceased.


The driver of the truck was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Somerset with non-life threatening injuries. Neither of the vehicles had passengers.


The circumstances of the collision are being investigated by the Montgomery Police Department and the Somerset County Prosecutors Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team. No summons have been issued at this time.


The highway was closed to traffic for approximately three hours during the scene investigation. Emergency personnel from Montgomery Township EMS, Montgomery fire companies No. 1 and No. 2, NJDOT/NJSP Incident Management Response Team, and Robert Wood Johnson medics assisted at the scene.
