Charles A. Bianco

Charles A. Bianco, 90, recently of of Old Bridge, NJ, died peacefully on Sunday, November 19.

Charlie was born in Princeton, NJ, and graduated from Princeton High School, where he thrived playing soccer. He is the son of Elizabeth and Tony Bianco of Princeton.


Charlie was a volunteer fireman with the Rocky Hill Fire Department. He married Jean E. Panicaro of Rocky Hill in 1957, and later built his own home. Charlie was a part-time special police officer for the borough of Rocky Hill for many years.


By trade, Charlie was a mason and worked with his father and twin brother, Samuel Bianco, in a family construction business. Charlie later became a union mason and worked throughout New Jersey.


He joined the Facilities Department at Princeton University and continued his trade as a stone mason where he spent 20 years. 


He also was a member of the U.S Army National Guard in Princeton where he was assigned to a tank unit and served ten years.


Charlie is predeceased by his parents, his wife Jean E Bianco, and his twin brother Samuel Bianco of Princeton. He is survived by his daughter Karen A Torpey, son Charles A Bianco II, son-in law Dr. Brian Torpey, and daughter-in-law Yvonne Bianco; and seven grandchildren Dr. McCall E. Torpey, Kendall A. Torpey, Esq., Matthew B Torpey, Jack A Torpey, Dalton C Bianco, Riese R. Bianco and Darby E. Bianco.


Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 am on Sunday, November 26, 2023 with a funeral service at 11 am at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton, NJ 08542. 


Burial will follow in Rocky Hill Cemetery. ■
