A 47-year-old Belle Mead Man Died in a Motorcycle Crash in Manville on Sunday

The Somerset County Prosecutor's office is withholding the name of a man identified as a 47-year-old Belle Mead resident who died in a motorcycle crash in Manville during the early evening hours on Sunday.


At about 5:32 pm, Manville police officers were dispatched to the area of South Main Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Manville for a report of an accident involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle on September 15. Upon arrival, Manville police officers determined that the motorcyclist had suffered critical injuries from the accident. The motorcyclist was transported to a local trauma hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

Manville Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald announced the accident on Monday at about 3:30 pm in a press release to local media. He said that members of the Somerset County Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team responded on Sunday, September 15 to investigate along with members of the Manville Police Department.  The investigation is currently ongoing pending the results of the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team’s findings.
