Joseph W. Zizwarek, 50, died on August 25.

Born in Neptune, Joseph resided in Ewing and had recently moved to Bordentown.

Joseph graduated from Jackson Memorial High School in Jackson and The College of New Jersey with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He later graduated the Middlesex County Police Academy.

Joseph was a police officer for the Montgomery Township Police Department in Belle Mead and was preparing to retire in February of 2019. He was previously employed with the New Jersey Transit Police Department from 1994 to 1998.

He was a member of Calvary Chapel in Ewing and PBA #355.

Joseph is survived by his parents, Joseph and Ida Zizwarek of Bordentown; his wife, Natasha Zizwarek; sons Logan and Nicholas; daughter Madeline; sisters Gina Di Iorio and her husband, Sam, and Michelle Wells and her husband, Maury; nieces, Angela Parise, Miranda Wells, Moriah Wells, and Miriel Wells; his nephew, Mason Wells and by his great nephew, Douglas B. Parise-Zahn.
