19-year-old Montgomery Teen Dead After Car Crash in India

Prakhar Pandey, 19, died in a car accident on May 16 in India while reportedly traveling with his mother.

Prakhar graduated from Montgomery High School in 2016 and was an emergency medical technician (EMT) at Montgomery EMS - Squad 47 Rescue.


He studied at Rutgers’ Mason Gross School of the Arts, according to his Facebook page. And, he belonged to the professional co-ed medical fraternity Phi Delta Epsilon, whose motto is “Facta Non Verba,” or “Deeds Not Words.”

Prakhar “loved B.E.S.T., Taco Bell, and that sweater / shorts combo that only he could pull off,” according to his fraternity brother Nevis Usanky.

“Most importantly,” Nevis added in a public letter to his friend, “you loved your friends and family.”

Prakhar listed the following family members on his Facebook page: His father, Uma Shankar Pandey, and mother, Rashmi Pandey, who live in Belle Mead, and a sister, Khushi Pandey, Montgomery High School Class of 2021.

“You were truly the best of us and you didn’t deserve to go so soon,” Nevis wrote. “You will be in our thoughts and prayers, forever and always."
